NYC St. Patricks Day Parade 2026 – Full Coverage
The worlds largest St. Patricks Day Parade marches up 5th Avenue every March 17th. Over 150,000 marchers and 2 million spectators line the route from 44th Street to 79th Street. Here is everything you need to know.
Route
The parade marches UP 5th Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street, passing St. Patricks Cathedral (the main reviewing stand) at 50th Street.
Best Viewing Spots
- 50th-52nd Street — Near St. Patricks Cathedral. Most energy but most crowded.
- 60th-65th Street — Less packed, still great views. Near Central Park for escape after.
- 44th Street start — See the bands and groups fresh and energized.
Tips
- Arrive by 10 AM for a good spot (parade starts at 11 AM)
- Dress warm — March in NYC is cold and windy
- No alcohol allowed on the route (but every bar nearby is packed)
- Wear green or face friendly harassment
- Subway: B/D/F/M to 47-50th St Rockefeller Center
